AAE’s acquisition of Solara
Automation in North America
Globalization allows AAE to build a local for local strategy and to move the world happily forward by groundbreaking technology
We place great importance on understanding customer DNA, which is essential since we develop and produce customer-specific modules and machines. Our local-for-local strategy enables us to take our collaboration to an even higher level.
Apart from our local-for-local ambition. Both the ever-increasing demand for factory automation and robotics as well as many cultural touch points motivated our steps with Solara Automation.
Why Solara Automation?
Solara Automation has been delivering customized industrial automation solutions for over 20 years. This globalization step allows us to build on our local for local strategy and take our vision to move the world happily forward by groundbreaking technology to an international level.
In short: we strive to be the best for the world. We’re excited to address the needs of our globally operating customers.
Our typical AAE culture, characterized by ambition, decisiveness, co-operation and a strong focus on people will continue to remain at the very core of what and why we do the things we do.

Research Triangle Park: where else?
AAE will expand to a new 100,000 sq. ft. building in North America. This expansion aligns with our ambition to introduce our three business lines to AAE North America, comparable to AAE Europe. The new facility will support the growth and manufacturing capabilities of AAE North America.
The Research Triangle Park is one of America’s strongest economical environments and with its three technical universities comparable to the Brainport Area in the Netherlands. A must when it comes to pushing technical boundaries.
Our step towards North America marks just the beginning of AAE’s globalization plans. We’ll begin our expansion to Asia within the foreseeable future. Our ambition to do this at our own pace in order to build a strong fundament within the next few years.
