The future deserves businesses that build a better world. At AAE, we want to be best for the world, not only through our technology solutions, but in everything we do. Our ambition is simple to state and demanding to live up to: leave people and planet better off because we exist.
We view our impact on three interconnected levels, each essential, each in balance:
Environment: Protect and restore the natural world we depend on
Society: Create positive outcomes for people and the communities they live in: safety, inclusion, learning and equal opportunities.
Economy: Build resilient value that supports long-term prosperity.
These layers are nested: society exists within nature, and the economy exists within society. Thatʼs why progress on one cannot come at the expense of another. To make our long-term impact truly sustainable, we act on all three levels at once. Our goal is to be net positive across environment, society, and economy, where our positive impacts outweigh the negative. We know weʼre still on the journey. But by doing more good and less bad every day, we move closer to the tipping point where our overall impact turns net positive, and closer to our goal of being best for the world.

Our future is driven by a clear ambition: to be present on three continents and serve our customers through a local-for-local strategy. We believe high-tech equipment performs best when the people who design, build, integrate and support it are close to the place where it is used. Proximity makes collaboration easier, decisions faster and outcomes more predictable.
By growing our presence across three continents, we can work alongside customers in their time zone, their ecosystem and their reality. That means shorter communication lines, faster response, and teams that understand the operational context, supplier landscape and production culture of each region. It also means we can stay close throughout the full lifecycle, improving performance together, not from a distance.
Our ambition is to build three AAE’s, one on each continent. Each will include our three business lines and our own OEM business, so customers can count on the same capabilities, standards and way of working wherever they operate.
The goal stays the same everywhere: be close to the customer, contribute to their progress, and help turn their dream into a machine that delivers.
Sustainability is not a side project; it is core to who we are. But real progress comes through partnership; only by partnering with our suppliers and customers can we turn net-positive ambition into collective action.
The AAE Foundation
The AAE Foundation is where our family companyʼs long-term mindset meets community impact. Founded at the end of 2024, the Foundation exists to help build a fairer future by focusing on two ambitions: creating equal opportunities for children and young people, and strengthening the social engagement of AAE employees. By investing in talent development, education and hands-on initiatives, often powered by our colleaguesʼ time and expertise, we aim to make a positive, lasting difference in the places where we live and work.
The Foundation is led by a committed board—Kurt Wils (Chair), Marianne Pijnenburg (Board Member) and Wiebe Weber (Treasurer/Secretary) and is based at our Helmond campus.
